Thanksgiving
Regardless of how Thanksgiving started, for me it is a holiday of thanks, family, sharing and the food. A designated day or days to share time with each other while eating lots of food.
Growing up Thanksgiving was always at our house. The day before the house cleaning started as well as food preparations. Thanksgiving morning was about setting up tables, finish cleaning, finish up food sneak a few olives and Oliver the musical playing in the living room. Every year I don't know how it started but Oliver as I remember it played. Perfect for this holiday, good memories. Then everyone shows up, the usual faces and always a few new ones someone's girlfriend, co-worker or neighbor etc.
These days the family has grown up, gotten bigger, some have moved away so we are transitioning to new traditions. I hope one day soon to host my own Thanksgivings...and Oliver will sure as hell play during the festivities pre-game prep time.
This year I am thankful for having a boyfriend who loves me even though I'm a crazy weirdo ding dong and his family and their support and kindness, my parents for always loving me and being there for me through the 29 year of my existence so far, my brother I hope to spend more time together now that I'm back in AR, and my friends new ones who have only known be a couple years but share strong love with me and old ones who know damn near everything about me the good and bad and still love me for me, and my kitty cay and a fun job where I can be myself. Thank you.
Now some Oliver clips. Happy Turkey Day!

Blessed be the Pedicure
Feet can be weird looking, stinky, cracking, peeling.. thats enough you get the point. If taken care of any feet can be pretty. I hate neglected feet and I hate long toenails. HATE. It freaks me out it's like witch rat wizard feet, not sexy even if they are painted and such. I don't dig it. As a child I was so freaked by long toenails I used to cut mine way to short which I eventually got under control..little OCD.
I maintain my tootsies bi-weekly not only do they look good and feel good but it keeps them healthy. Now and then I can afford or justify a salon or spa pedicure. Even if they shaft you on the calf massage or nick you with the nippers. It's so much better to sit in a massage chair and have someone else take care of it. My feet are ticklish when they file and scrub but the rest is usually great, especially if you get a good massage.
So blessed be the pedicure and the fact that there are so many places to get one and choose from these days. Be careful though you do want a sanitary responsible salon so you don't end up with some fungus.
If you have the money and time go get a pedicure. If you find a good nail tech stick with them.
Now I don't have a foot fetish like Quentin Tarantino or anything, but I do appreciate a good pedicure just as much as a cute dress or fine linens.

Over 30 Foods that are supposed to be good for you.
I have taken the time to research top foods you should eat regularly and these are the ones I came up with. Some of these may not be good for some people, I'm no dietician. Some of these my not taste good, but surely I can enjoy most of them in some form whether it be raw or cooked. Have to be careful with the cooking though you can dilute or destroy the nutritional value if over cooked and the texture and flavor can very by preparation as well.
Only problem is it can be expensive and inconvenient to eat healthy because some of it requires the time and preparation to suit your palate and if you don't use the items soon enough they will spoil and you just wasted money. It takes a certain passion and motivation to change from microwave and fast food to home cooked and healthy packed lunches. Sure there's healthy places to eat out if you can afford to do that everyday but most of us can't.
I am going to attempt to work some of these foods into my regular eating habits. Some of them I already do, a few I've never tried. So we will see. I know there's more foods like beets that should probably be on this list but these were the most common in my searches.
